PAR University is the first and only private higher education institution in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, offering study programmes with a well-balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and structured practical training throughout the academic year.
PAR was founded in 2007 with the vision of developing high-quality educational programmes and business consulting services, grounded in extensive experience, a realistic understanding of market needs, and continuous monitoring of professional and scientific innovations and trends. The name PAR stands for Poslovna Akademija Rijeka (Rijeka Business Academy), a pioneer in providing modern lifelong learning programmes and private education in the region.
PAR began its operations in Rijeka as a partner of the German business school BA Nordhessen GmbH, thereby offering prospective students the opportunity to enroll in the first international professional study programme in this area.
PAR University was established in 2011, and since 2012 it has been delivering the undergraduate professional study programme in Business Management, aimed at educating young, modern, and entrepreneurially oriented professionals, while also responding to the needs of prospective students seeking a different approach to education.
Since 2020, the University has also been offering a specialist graduate professional study programme in Business Management with three available specialisations: Small and Medium Enterprise Management, Financial Management, and Sports Management.
