Recognizing the importance of quality education for athletes, a specially tailored Professional Study Programme in Business Management has been developed at PAR University of Applied Sciences, enabling student-athletes to successfully balance their academic and sporting commitments. Being an Erasmus student at PAR has been much more than just studying abroad – it has been a journey of personal growth and unforgettable experiences. From day one, I felt supported by the university’s resources and dedication. The activities they organize bring us closer to Croatian culture while making learning engaging and enjoyable. I also had the opportunity to complete my internship at the university, becoming part of a warm and welcoming environment that truly feels like home. Without a doubt, this experience has been a turning point in my life.
Studying in Rijeka has been a truly unique experience. What sets PAR apart is not only the support and understanding from professors, but also the strong sense of community among students. There is a genuine closeness and willingness to support one another that makes you feel part of something bigger. One of the highlights for me was participating in the UniSport Finals together with my fellow Erasmus colleagues – an experience that perfectly reflects the spirit of connection and teamwork at PAR.
One of the things I value most about studying at PAR is the flexibility it offers. Since most classes take place in the afternoon, I have my mornings free to organize my time, work, and focus on other responsibilities. It makes it much easier to balance studies with professional experience without feeling overwhelmed. This structure has allowed me to stay productive, independent, and fully engaged in both my academic and professional life.
I really appreciate the range of short programmes offered at PAR, as they provide valuable opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. One of the highlights for me was the “Women without PARdon” conference, where I had the chance to participate and gain insights from inspiring female leaders. Experiences like this make studying at PAR dynamic and enriching, and they add real value to the overall academic journey.
