What is Erasmus+? Erasmus+ at PAR University of Applied Sciences
Erasmus+ is a European Union programme that enables students and staff to study, train, and gain experience abroad. PAR holds the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, allowing students to receive financial support from the European Commission for study periods or internships across Europe.
Studying abroad is a key part of the Erasmus+ experience and has a positive impact on future career opportunities. It also helps students improve language skills, build confidence, and experience new cultures.
In Croatia, the programme is managed by the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (AMPEU).
What opportunities are available for students?
PAR students can take part in:
- Study exchanges – attending classes at a partner university abroad (one or two semesters)
- Internships – working in companies, organisations, or institutions abroad (minimum 2 months)
- Short-term mobility programmes – including winter and summer schools
- Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) – combining online and in-person participation in short, intensive programmes organised by partner institutions
Students receive financial support for all mobility options, covering part of the travel and living costs.
Duration of mobility
Study mobility can last from 3 to 12 months.
Student mobility for internships lasts from a minimum of 2 months up to a maximum of 12 months.
Where can you go on an exchange?
Study mobility can take place in EU countries, as well as in Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Turkey – at partner institutions with which PAR has Erasmus+ agreements. A list of partner institutions is available here. Students can arrange their internship placements through intermediary agencies, independently, or with the support of a mentor or Erasmus coordinator at PAR. Internships can be carried out in companies, institutions, organisations, and other legal entities.
